Fathoming First Steps is the 108-page reader's companion that carries An Outsider's Dive from lived intuition into relation, physical placement, and test.
01 · Alyss’s napkin language
Equations, emojis, jokes, and impossible connections can coexist before any of them has earned a formal name. The napkin is a thinking surface, not an exhibit.
02 · The bridge before the bricks
FFS keeps Alyss's unruly connection alive, then asks what that connection would have to preserve when the surface changes.
03 · Relation before resident
What remains reconstructible? What could physically carry it? What readout would distinguish this proposal from another one?
04 · Nested answerability
Question → relation → physical placement → test. This is how intuition becomes a claim another person can retrace.
This passage maps increasing explanatory obligation. It is not a simulation or proof of Light-Space.A generated cinematic passage begins among Alyss's crowded, doodled napkins, follows a cobalt idea through the bridge before its bricks have names, and resolves in nested relational depth. The passage maps explanatory obligation, not a claimed physical mechanism.

The napkins keep the curiosity alive. The companion gives that curiosity a disciplined next move, one distinction at a time.
Alyss's crowded napkins keep the question alive. FFS follows that same cobalt thread across the fold: first name the relation, then ask what could physically carry it.
Move from a felt resemblance to a clear account of which roles are connected and what the operation preserves.
Separate a mathematical relation from the physical system proposed to carry it.
Ask what observation could distinguish a promising explanation from an evocative pattern.
Story intuition → guided reconstruction → formal record
The reading route stays visible at every depth.
A first step you can touch
Oliver's crossfader becomes a lesson in the book: the coordinate alone does not determine the result. The law connecting the parts matters.
The descent leaves us with a relation-led route. This ordinary control lets you test one step of it.

From the epilogue
What kind of “something” could Light-Space be?
How can a relation change presentation and remain reconstructible?
What did the crossfader help Alyss see, and what must the full law still supply?
When is phi doing explanatory work rather than being recognized afterward?
What would it take to explain 137 rather than land near its decimal?
What kind of result is the Omega-Lambda relation?
How might stable matter occupy a deeper relational architecture?
At the far edge
Return to the surface with a route
A 108-page paperback companion for readers ready to carry the questions of An Outsider's Dive into the deeper reasoning of Light-Space Theory.
Alyss's painted cosmos returns as memory. The book supplies a route for carrying its questions forward.
